“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This was His plan?
2020 has been a hard year for many families – including mine. In fact, all the plans that we had made for our year ended on February 28th, when my husband got the call that Covid had hit one of the nursing homes that he manages in Kirkland, Washington.
From February to now in November, our lives took many different twists and turns. This year will finally end with us spending the holidays in our new home in Cleveland, Tennessee – which was absolutely not the plan we had for ourselves.
We had set goals and projections in our planners as to what we hoped to accomplish in the year. I even had my word of the year ready to go: Resilience. Little did I know that God had plans to actually make me resilient.
Although nothing that we are living today was what we put in our planners, it was already in His plan for us. All we had to do was say YES!
In this episode, Katie Reid will share a similar story with her book, A Bavarian Christmas:
Holly Noel’s life is not turning out as she planned. She finds herself single, in her thirties, back at home, and using her art skills personalizing ornaments. Life was not turning out as she had envisioned.
But God had a plan, one that would bring healing to a family and love to a community as her art reached more people than it ever would have with her plans.
As her friend reminds her –
“Even though you were afraid to go out into the world for love, you have been strategically entrusted with a position where the world comes to you! You impact people from all over with your kindness and care. The circumstances are not like you thought they’d be, but the impact reaches far beyond these walls.”
Listen in as Katie shares how God gave her this story in a time when she herself needed the message. Get your own copy and another as a gift to bring hope to your Christmas season.
