February 28th, 2020 will be a day I’ll never forget. My husband, Todd, called me while I was out of town to tell me that a patient in a nursing home he helped manage had just tested positive for COVID-19.
Neither of us imagined how big the wave was that was about to hit us or how much it would change all of our lives..
Today I am so honored to introduce my husband to you. He — along with his staff — is a true servant leader.
We want to share with you a small glimpse into the scenes and experiences of being at COVID-19 Ground Zero that the media didn’t share.
During those dark days, weeks, and months, all we had to cling to was our faith, the prayers of our family and friends, and the love that the community of Kirkland Washington lavished on us.
“To be at the epicentre was an experience like no other. It was definitely not our own strength that we were drawing from.” Todd Fletcher
I hope our story will inspire you to reflect on how you’ve clung to your faith in the midst of the unimaginable, too.
