What is your first reaction when you think of a child wanting their art displayed?
Maybe you remember being that child and having your masterpiece displayed.
A smile spreads across the artist’s face when the piece is placed under the magnetic clip or framed for all to see.
When I moved to Cleveland, I met a young lady whose passion is displaying and selling masterpieces made by the hands of extraordinary ladies in our community.
Today I am excited to introduce you to my friend and city neighbor Hailey Johnston.
Hailey is the founder and CEO of Project Free 2 Fly.
Her story and mission drew me in, and now I am honored to be a small part of her program.
Hailey works with rehabilitation programs in the area to identify women ready to move from recovery to sustainable life. She hires women and teaches them the skills they need to manufacture the products sold in the shop and online.
Free 2 Fly acts as a bridge between recovery and sustainability.
We will talk about how sewing teaches these ladies:
- Self-confidence
- Patience & Perseverance,
- Communication skills & Attention to detail
- Willpower & Strength
And much more!
I was so moved by Hailey’s love for these women and for being part of God’s redeeming story in their lives!
