Most of the time, our friends and family have the best intentions with their well wishes and words of wisdom after we tie the knot. But it’s important to carefully consider the suggestions we receive and evaluate how they stack up against scripture before we adopt them in our marriage.
In this episode, I talk with Chris & Jamie Bailey about distinguishing between solid marriage advice and that which misses the mark. We discuss some major relationship killers.
Why the following common sayings are best avoided:
- “Marriage is 50/50”
- “Happy wife, happy life.”
- “Don’t go to bed angry.”
When it comes to marriage, we can learn so much from those who have gone before us. But sometimes, it’s best to archive certain pointers we receive.
What would it be if you could share one piece of marriage advice that you’ve found particularly valuable or not so valuable?
Click reply or leave a comment! I would love to hear it.
